AKIBU SOLIU AKA SANJAY: THE JUDAS ISCARIOT OF ALIMOSHO POLITICS

The demons of disloyalty chases those who break ranks with the truth, the fearful and fretful, those who cannot handle the realities of life and bear the weight that comes with the tests of loyalty.

Egbe Idimu LCDA All Progressives Congress, APC Chairman Akibu Soliu also known as Sanjay is a man gripped by the need to explain why he broke political ranks with Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo led leadership collegiate alongside others. He has being parroting self serving lies, half truths and blackmail to justify his new political position, an exercise that he thinks will purge him of his guilt of betrayal.

1. The man from Ajilete stated that Hon Jelili Adewale Sulaimon Alimosho LGA Chairman, Hon Princess Olabisi Adebajo aka Abisco Mosan Okunola LCDA Chairman and Hon Adele Ganiyu Ayuba member House of Representatives (Alimosho federal constituency) were newcomers to the party when they emerged as APC candidates in 2017 and 2023. The defination of a newcomer according to Sanjay is that Sulaimon who prior to his emergence as Alimosho local government chairmanship candidate was a ward executive, ward youth leader, councillor, Leader of Alimosho legislative house is a freshman politician. Abisco who was a ward executive, special assistant Office of the Executive Governor, a member of the state executive committee of the party and  Hon Adele Ganiyu Ayuba who was the Secretary of the then Justice Forum/ Mandate, Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu prior to clinching APC tickets are newbie politicians.

2. Asiwaju Akibu Soliu can crudely and conveniently lie that the leadership of Alimosho federal constituency APC foist candidates on the party, but he cannot convince those with the knowledge of history and basic workings of the Apex  leadership , that over the years all candidates are selected through an all inclusive consensus session, merely moderated by  the leadership, aspirants are screened and scrutinized before an adoption is made, these adopted aspirants are now made to face other aspirants in the primaries proper. . Will Sanjay forget so quickly that in 2017 Abisco bested Hon Akintola Falade in the primary, or that she bested Hon Adunni Opeyemi Akindele in the 2021 primary. He as a member of the leadership collegiate by virtue of his position as a party LGA chairman, will not forget that Hon Luqmon Agbaje squared up against late Chief Mrs Bolatito Shobowale the adopted aspirant in the primary and lost or has he forgotten so soon that Hon Akin Johnson squared up against Hon Jelili, these scenarios are endless. Amnesia is indeed a disease: but selective amnesia as the case with Sanjay is steeped in his desperate attempt to justify his current political failings.

3. Sanjay claimed  Enilolobo refused them political association with Bisi Yusuff, this is laughable but he merely warned that Bisi Yusuff is not a man they can go into political relationship with, given the content of his character which is defined as self serving and self glorification. Any relationship with Bisi Yusuff who is the major beneficiary of the Alimosho led APC leadership collegiate, who broke ranks with the house over a self serving issue and that the relationship must be well defined, well structured, above all well intentioned, now Enilolobo  has been proven right.

4. Sanjay claimed jumping ship early resulted in the allocation of Egbe Idimu LCDA vice chairmanship ticket and his ward councillorship tickets to him and members hitherto loyal to Enilolobo in the council. Let it be on record that Bisi Yusuff did not allot councillorship ticket of Sanjay's ward to him, but to Chief Sunday Babatunde Aboyade of the Justice Forum, the vice chairmanship ticket was released to Hon Tayo Ayinde because Bisi Yusuff had no aspirant of note in the council in the first place. Sanjay's sense of political worth is exaggerated and the fact that he is now politically empty handed will become more evident in due course.

5. No politician has ever gone against or worked against the directives or the interests of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR in  Alimosho federal constituency APC chapter, not under the  leadership of the Apex bodies. Sanjay attests to this fact in his many discussions with those he tried to justify why he broke ranks with the leadership. One now wonder why the man from Ajilete assumed his political survival is consequent upon lies and unbridled desperation.

6. Sanjay gripped by the fear of the unknown has forgotten his place and his past. History is one of the greatest brain refresher. Great appreciation to Mr Singapore who brought Sanjay with his nylon bag from Ajilete and hand him over to HRM Oba Asimiyu, the then Egbe Idimu LCDA Chairman. For reasons too dirty to be aired in the public Oba Asimiyu got him arrested and locked up at Idimu Police Station. It was Enilolobo who went to seek and obtained his release.

7. Bereft of accomodation due to this incident, Kunle Adimula came to his rescue and house him for months. It was Enilolobo who gave him a lifeline by  engaging him to managed a mining site alongside Adewunmi Dada, where fortune smiled on him, so much so he became a serial landlord among many other achievements, by the grace of God and the benevolence of Enilolobo.

8. For a man contending with two life threatening ailments as most people do, one wonders how he has quickly forgotten how Enilolobo openly wept with him, when he survived a serious bout months ago. A man Enilolobo takes as a brother and a friend has not returned the humanity capital expended on him  but paid him back with back stabbing, instead of nursing his new political position quietly and with maturity, he keeps fouling the political atmosphere with unsolicited tales to burnish his dark image and justify his shameful actions. It is evident Sanjay cannot survive without political patronage, but he should understand one thing economic survival cannot be tied to participation in politics, he should get himself a business. Bisi Yusuff will most surely and certainly dropped him as party chairman during the next congress of our great party.

9. The man from Ajilete must have forgotten when the late High Chief Lejoka Solomon Ogundola was the Chair of Chair in Alimosho federal constituency, how he was picked from being a Youth leader to LCDA party Chairman which did not go down well with majority of the party members and leaders then. How he was changed for in the build up to a second term to Alh Easy Kenkeke, but was returned after several protests which he instigated and actively participated in, but now he not only discourage protests, he condemns it for survival.

10. Sanjay acknowledging the fact that Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo was never involved in any anti party activities, neither worked for Labour Party nor planned to defect to the Social Democratic Party, SDP: that the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR issue with Enilolobo stems from the issue Mr President have with Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola is non starter here. This submission is belated  because he alongside others lost their voices and kept silent when they had the golden opportunity to counter Bisi Yusuff's fabricated lies in the presence of Mr President recently.

Finally; Sanjay prided himself as God, talked ignorantly and asserted authorities with boldness. Mr o mo oselu of Alimosho finds joy in arrogance.
