One of the core allies of HE Hon Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire: the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) and the Secretary General of Asiwaju Solidarity Movement ASM, Hon Akin Bashiru has declared a former 3-term House of Assembly member in Alimosho Constituency 01, Hon AbdulRahman Adebisi Yusuf a dead politician.
This statement was made by Hon Akin Bashiru during the course of the week, when he was wooing a politician in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA to his group, ASM.
According to him, Hon Bisi Yusuf died the day he decided to go against HE Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire leadership. He wondered why Hon Bisi Yusuf is been driven by selfish interest and personal agenda.
He added that anyone who is conversant with Hon Bisi Yusuf will know that he thinks only of himself and no other. He added that after betraying Abdullahi Enilolobo who stood shoulder to shoulder with him in over two decades, he switched to HE Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, to pick Alimosho federal constituency state cabinet slot.
He however said, he wasn't surprised at all when he left because he knew from day one that the relationship will not last. Therefore, when he heard of his decision to leave with Hon Olufemi Adebanjo - another 2-term House of Representatives member, he wasn't surprised at all because they are birds of the same feather.
He consequently said, if he betrays Abdullahi Enilolobo and sails through with lies and greed, he won't sail through with HE Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire. Therefore, he will soon realize that he is dead politically and awaiting his burial.
Hon Akin Bashiru a former acting Executive Chairman of Alimosho LGA, is a kinfolk of HE Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire. He decamped to Accord Party in preparation for the 2019 general election after he couldn't secure the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket to contest House of Assembly in Alimosho Constituency 01.
Despite decamping to Accord Party, he received the blessings, attention and hard-work of HE Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire who spent a fortune and time on his quest. She facilitated his appointment as a board member of the National Bureau of Statistics representing the south west post 2019 general elections.
Even when HE Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire was told that it's an anti-party move, she insisted that her decision will not change and to hell with APC. She added that she can't leave Hon Akin Bashiru because he is family. Infact, she worked very hard to ensure that he won over the APC candidate.
Mr Akin Bashiru eventually lost the election gallantly to the APC candidate, who incidentally was Bisi Yusuf, who ran for a third term under the good graces of Abdullahi Enilolobo led APC leadership in Alimosho constituency.
