In the realm of politics, trust is the delicate thread that binds politicians with their leaders and representatives. The recent actions of Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon (GOS) have raised concerns among members and officers of The Mandate Movement in Mushin federal constituency. While accusations of covert alliances and calls to join a particular political camp circulates, it is essential to reflect on the principles that guide our political engagement as a frontline caucus.
Deception, guile an inevitable aspect of the political landscape, challenges our ability to discern genuine intentions. However, in The Mandate Movement our focus is not solely be on those who deceive us, but also on our response to potential manipulations. As we navigate the intricate web of political manoeuvring, it becomes imperative to exercise caution and discernment, this is our position. We are democrats: we are eternally aligned with the progressive politics of the movement's founder, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
The appeal to Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon is clear: "Leave Mandate Movement Alone!" The Mandate Movement Mushin federal constituency chapter asserts its political independence and rejects any attempts to sway our members to join Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku as known as Baba Eto's newly formed camp. The warning is not rooted in distrust alone, but rather in the desire to safeguard our autonomy in making political choices and trading in political equity, fairness and justice.
Allegations of involvement with the Baba Eto's divisive and dubious clique have surfaced, and accusations of clandestine collaborations with the 'Cardinal of greed and lies' have added fuel to the fire. However, it is crucial for our dear honourable GOS, a distinguished member of Lagos All Progressives Congress, APC Governance Advisory Council, GAC, a body known for her firm ability to stand united against what is perceive as detrimental moves at critical political juncture.
The recent divisive moves championed by Baba Eto has not only embittered majority of the members and officers of the movement. Distinguished members of the GAC frowns at this development and have sounded note of warning that Baba Eto should not rupture the peace of The Mandate Movement with his highly provocative and divisive moves, having failed to fly with his Indomitable Solidarity Organization, ITSO.
A call for 'GOS' to cease contacting our people is a call for peace. If mediation is to occur, it must be pursued in a manner that respects our group's sovereignty in decision-making. We urge Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon to refrain from influencing our members to join up with Baba Eto's divisive camp: unless a peaceful resolution aligns with the collective will of our group.
The forth coming local government election should throw up council chairmen, councillors and executives, that will align with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, not those tied to the apron strings of self serving power cabals, that Baba Eto epitomizes.
In conclusion, the plea is not just about distrust but a declaration of political independence. For Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon we have two questions for you Sir.
Are you a member of The Mandate Movement
Are you willing to join the movement.
This will help us understand your motives and to help in imploring you to respect our autonomy, and any engagement should be transparent, respectful, and it must aligned with the best interests of our members and officers who affirm Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo as The Mandate Movement Lagos State Chairman, and who in the character and content of The Mandate Movement abiding philosophy stood by Enilolobo come rain, come sunshine.
