Lagos State Commissioner of Wealth Creation and Employment Mr Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe, has disassociated himself from the HE Hon Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire led Alimosho Solidarity Movement, ASM, a caucus of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Alimosho Federal Constituency.
Ajigbotafe said his allegiance is completely to the newly established The Mandate Frontiers, a breakaway unit of the ASM led by Alhaji Abiodun Ejigbadero, having Hon Prince Adebisi Rahman Yusuf and Hon Prince Adefemi Adebanjo as leaders.
The member of Lagos State cabinet said his current appointment was facilitated by The Mandate Frontiers unit, backed by the Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa, by the which, he was able to best Mr Olajide Oseni who was the choice of HE Orelope Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goal SDG's.
Ajigbotafe who was ASM Chairman in Alimosho Local Government Area has jettisoned the caucus, to identify with his legacy base, Alimosho Liberation Movement, now The Mandate Frontiers.
It will be recalled that Alimosho Veterans Group and Alimosho Liberation Movement in APC Alimosho federal constituency merged to form ASM and adopted HE Orelope Adefulire as the apex leader.
The group splitted after key ASM leaders of the Alimosho Liberation Movement bloc decided to float a new caucus; because of what they judged as the greedy nature of HE Orelope Adefulire who cornered all political princely positions to Orelope Adefulire political dynasty, kinfolks and herself exclusively.
This medium gathered that Ajigbotafe who was initially double minded about the move to The Mandate Frontiers was straightened out during the finals of The Obasa Cup soccer championship in Agege Stadium, where Mr Speaker and others gave him the marching order.
