The Executive Chairman, Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Snr. Comr. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya has reiterated his commitment to people's welfare.
The council helmsman made this assurance while distributing over 1,500 food palliatives packed, to the people of Igando-Ikotun LCDA as directed by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The food palliatives distribution which was held at the Council Secretariat yesterday have member of the Executive Committee members, management team, Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, Pastor Ojo Samuel and his Executive members, Market leaders, religious leaders among other stakeholders in attendance.
Akinsanya who was represented by the Council Executive Vice Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Mojisola Badmus said the palliatives was giving to cushion the effect of the present economic challenges in the nation, noting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic policies will bring unending progress and prosperity to the nation at large.
Mojisola who is known for her oratory speech appealed to the Council residents to remain calm and maintain the peaceful coexistence already established by Akinsanya's administration.
She said that, the over 1,500 pack of food palliatives distributed was an additional support from the State Government to compliment the Local Government 10million cash and 500 food palliatives distributed few weeks ago, assuring the residents of more palliatives in the coming weeks.
Mojisola promised that Akinsanya administration will not relent in its efforts to make the residents of the council happy at this period and always.
