I DON'T RESPOND TO OBVIOUSLY IMMATURE PERSONS –FUBARA TO WIKE

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, addressed the ongoing political tensions with his estranged mentor, Nyesom Wike, highlighting President Bola Tinubu's role in mediating the conflict.

Fubara emphasized his commitment to implementing the resolutions from a previous meeting with Tinubu in Abuja, stating that it was a political solution, not a constitutional mandate.

Despite complying with the agreement, Fubara warned against interpreting his actions as a sign of weakness, suggesting potential surprises for those who underestimate his resolve.

In a statement released by Fubara's Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chulwudi, the governor clarified that the agreement with President Tinubu was a political resolution, not a legal requirement.

Fubara affirmed his initiation of the agreement's terms out of respect for Tinubu's intervention.

However, renewed threats of impeachment by 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly aligned with Wike surfaced, citing Fubara's alleged failure to present the 2024 budget afresh to the assembly as agreed.

During a solidarity rally with members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to governance and the welfare of Rivers State residents.

He highlighted the grassroots support for his administration and urged continued backing from the people.

Despite facing opposition, Fubara pledged to lead with integrity, emphasizing the importance of maturity in leadership and responding to criticism with grace.

He expressed his resolve not to respond to obviously immature persons or tolerate any mistreatment or abuse toward his administration members while administering governance.
