AIYEDATIWA WINS ONDO APC GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARIES

 

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has emerged the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the Ondo 2024 governorship election.

Aiyetidawa won the APC primary election held across 203 wards in the state ahead of the November Ondo 2024 election.

According to results announced by the APC primary election committee chaired by Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, late on Sunday, declared Governor Aiyedatiwa winner in most parts of the local government areas with a wide margin, and has since been declared returned elected as the standard bearer of the party in the November gubernatorial election in the state.

Aiyedatiwa clinched the nomination with a resounding victory, amassing a total of 48,569 votes in the primaries. His closest contender, Mayowa Akinfolarin trailed behind with 15,343 votes, while Chief Olusola Oke secured the third position with 14,865 votes.
