Airtel Nigeria has commenced the construction of a data cebte at the Eko Atlantic City
Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu Lagos State Governor joined officials of the telecommunication giant to witness the turning of the sod.
He expressed the commitment of his administration in positioning Lagos as a premier digital hub in Africa during the groundbreaking ceremony of NXTRA by Airtel Data Centre at Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island.
The event marks a new era in data control, security, and preservation throughout Africa, aligning with our administration's vision of a 21st Century Economy.
"I am glad about the transformative impact this data center will have on Nigeria's digital landscape. I appreciate Airtel for their dedication to building cutting-edge data center facilities in Africa, and I commend their efforts to redefine data storage and accessibility on the continent.
"The Lagos State Government fully supports this project and looks forward to its successful realization". Governor Sanwo-Olu concludes
