A wave of public outrage has swept across social media platforms following a viral video showing Dr. Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, confronting a woman named Anyim Vera during her testimony at the church's Abuja branch.
In the video, Vera shared her testimonial journey as the first graduate in her family, detailing her challenges and eventual success in obtaining a degree. However, Pastor Enenche openly questioned the authenticity of her testimony, specifically doubting the existence of a Bachelor of Science degree in Law, and instructed Vera to return to her seat.
"So the testimony is a lie. Is that how lawyers speak English? When she started that testimony, I knew there was something wrong,” he said.
Enenche's remarks, dismissing Vera's testimony as false, sparked widespread condemnation from Nigerians online. Many criticized the pastor and the church for publicly humiliating Vera and casting doubt on her achievements without sufficient evidence.
Contrary to Enenche's allegations, evidence supporting Vera's testimony has since emerged in the form of graduation pictures and official documentation, confirming her academic achievements. This revelation has further fueled public outrage, with calls for Enenche and the church to issue a public apology for their actions.
