DON'T LORD EJIGBADERO OVER US - EYES OPEN TO OBASA

Immediate past two term member of the House of Representatives, representing Alimosho Federal constituency, Hon Olufemi Adebanjo aka Eyes Open has warned the Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly, Hon Mudashiru Obasa against lording Mr Abiodun Ejigbadero, who was never a party or government stakeholder over him and other leaders.

In a inter-faith event which took place about a week ago in the name of The Mandate Movement TMM, a caucus in which they declare themselves as members and officers, after their long and serial sojourn from one caucus to the other.

According to an eye-witness, Obasa was practically attributing all the successes of mobilisation for their new caucus in Alimosho LGA to Abiodun Ejigbadero in the presence of heavyweights like Hon Olufemi Adebanjo, Hon Bisi Yusuf, a 3-term Lagos State House of Assembly member and host of others who have served the government and party over years, such as former Mosan Okunola LCDA Executive Secretary and current Mosan Okunola LCDA APC Chairman Hon Adunni Opeyemi Akindele, former Vice Chairman Alimosho LGA Hon Abiodun Francis, former Ayobo Ipaja LCDA Sole Administrator Hon Luqmon Agbaje.

Reacting to Obasa's comment, the former House of Representatives member, who at one time or the other served as Special Adviser to the Lagos State Government, Alimosho LGA Chairman, House of Assembly member said he felt embarrassed being made to look like a mere member in the caucus, while Ejigbadero is being praised and credited for the mobilization into the new contraption.

"How can I be made a laughing stock among my people? Everything is Ejigbadero! This Ejigbadero! That one Ejigbadero! Is Ejigbadero our leader or otherwise ?"

Eyes Open this medium learnt has found himself in a political quagmire with his association with the likes of Ejigbadero a renowned and highly notorious land grabber, most painful to him is that ninety percent of his core loyalists refused to join him in his recent political misadventures.

It will be recalled that the All Progressives Congress, APC, leadership in Alimosho federal constituency counselled Eyes Open to drop his House of Representatives third term ambition, to pave way for an Awori aborigine, in line with the political mood and reality.

Hon Adebanjo called the bluff of APC leadership led by Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo and continued to drop the name of the now Chief of Staff to the President Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila as having given him the go ahead with the campaign. He categorically declared that Aworis are minority in their Alimosho homeland, hence Alimosho APC will fail with the Awori project.

However having lost his third term bid, he thereafter formed a political alliance with HE Hon Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire in the Alimosho Solidarity Movement, ASM, where he hoped to be made a Lagos State cabinet member. The nomination of Hon Olajide Oseni an Awori by HE Orelope-Adefulire for state cabinet office, led to the fall out between the Ijebu prince and Madam SDG who is also an Awori.

Consequently an Omu Aran Prince Bisi Yusuf, An Abeokuta woman Adunni Opeyemi Akindele, An Ekiti man Abiodun Francis all teamed together and left ASM, on the premise that ASM leader promotes only her Awori stock and her kiths as well as her kinfolks, they left to join themselves to Mr Speaker, who has now lord a non politician on established politicians.

An exacerbated Eyes Open true to type declared "This nonsense by Mr Speaker has to stop, because myself and Bisi are not young in the party especially in Alimosho. If this is how it will continue, then an action will be taken. We can't be ridiculed!

"We left where we were as leaders! We fought the battle for relevance! We sacrificed everything! So, the consequence is disgrace? That is not possible! I cannot be subjected to Abiodun Ejigbadero! No Never!"
