In his efforts to meet the needs and bring government presence to his constituents, the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Interior and Member of the House of Representatives, representing Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, Esq., held a crucial meeting with stakeholders of Gowon Estate and the Federal Low-Cost Housing Estate, also known as Shagari Estate, in Alimosho Federal Constituency of Lagos State.
The meeting, which had politicians, executives of the concerned Community Development Committee (CDC), and major stakeholders of the Federal Housing Estates, was held last week, at the Council Hall of the Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area, Lagos State.
The grassroots legislator said in his address that it is pertinent for him to meet the stakeholders of the estates after his motion on the deplorable state of the road network in Gowon Estate and the Federal Low-Cost Housing Estate.
He used the opportunity to thank them for their support for his success and that of other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the last general election.
The distinguished lawmaker said efforts have been put in place to meet the necessary government agencies to facilitate the rehabilitation of the road network in the Federal Housing Estates and also embark on meaningful projects in the constituency.
The Executive Chairman, Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Princess Olabisi Adebajo, expressed gratitude to Hon. Ayuba for distinguishing himself and doing the constituency a great honour by taking the requests and needs of constituents to the green chamber.
Earlier in his opening remarks, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Ogunwuyi, said that the essence of the meeting was to mediate on issues of communal development with the concerned stakeholders of the estates.
Hon. Rasheed Abiodun Mafe, a former Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, while speaking on behalf of the Federal Housing Estate stakeholders, commended the efforts of the lawmaker and called for continuous collaboration between the estate communities and the government.
The pioneer Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Pa Abel Badejo, said some of them who have resided for decades in these communities are well-detailed with information; moreso, there's a need to scrutinize the activities of various government agencies and officials as they affect the housing estates.
While responding to the people's requests, Hon. Ayuba said necessary action will be put in place to ensure the stakeholders are well informed on the execution of government projects for efficiency and effectiveness, stressing that efforts are also in place to facilitate employment for youths in the constituency.
Some of the executives of various CDAs and CDCs of the estates present were Mr. Olufemi Ojo, Mr. Rasheed Onisemo, Mallam Musa K. O., Alhaji Oyebanji Dauda, and Adegbuju Onikoyi.
Also in attendance were the Vice Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Dayo Osinowo; Deputy Leader of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Olasunkanmi Adekola; APC General Secretary of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Olaseinde Femi; APC Youth Leader of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Comr. Shakiru Arowolo; Supervisor for Health, Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Hakeem Adeyemi; Supervisor for Information, Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Tayo Oyediran; and others.
