The National Working Committee, NWC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has denounced a court order affirming the suspension of Abdullahi Ganduje, the party's national chairman, as "unlawful." The order, granted by a Kano State High Court following an ex parte motion, restrained Ganduje from acting as an APC member.
APC's National Legal Adviser, Professor Abdulkarim Kana, labeled the order a "nullity," stating that those behind Ganduje's suspension are not APC members. The NWC addressed the matter during a press conference at the APC Abuja National Secretariat, following a courtesy visit by Ganduje's Ward and Local Government exco.
Kana said, "Whatever order that will emanate from such a document, and all of us know – even a 100 level law student will tell you that an order obtained by fraud is an unlawful order – it will not be enforceable, and it will not be recognised and it will not be respected.”
