AGBADO/OKE ODO RECORDS REMARKABLE IMPROVEMENTS ON MY WATCH - FAMUYIWA

There is so much difference that good leadership can make in a nation, state and in fact, in any community. Hon. David Famuyiwa has proved this in his 3 years as Executive Chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA.

In the last three years, the difference between what Famuyiwa inherited and what it is today, is akin to the difference between day and night. The gulf is as divergent as the variable between light and darkness. Yet, some persons masquerading as analysts and commentators, but who are indeed delusional ombudsman, still scour the social media space to spew bovine criticisms marinated with lies and fatuous falsehood.

This has led to 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙜𝙗𝙖𝙙𝙤/𝙊𝙠𝙚-𝙊𝙙𝙤, 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝘿𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙙 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙮𝙞𝙬𝙖, on Thursday, 14th March, 2024 to correct the critics of his administration while inviting them to visit the community to assess its infrastructural development. Famuyiwa made the call during the 5th Empowerment Programme under his administration at the Council Secretariat.

While addressing the good people of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA, the Council Mayor said emphatically said that in the last 20 years of the LCDA existence and before his emergence as the Council Mayor of the LCDA, the Council Secretariat was in a bad state. He said the Council Area have taken a better shape and this is evident for all to see.

Famuyiwa critics pretend not to know this. He went on by giving detailed analysis of the network of roads, under his administration. These critics also turned a blind eye to the revolutionary rebirth of the Council Secretariat, designed and equipped with all the ergonomics of a modern workplace, which is a model of what an office complex should be in a digital age. Pity is the feeling for anyone who would see good and call it bad. And that is the feeling for Famuyiwa's critics who fail to see the infrastructural development in Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA.

Three years of rekindled hope. Obviously, these critics bear logs in their eyes that they cannot see the educational empowerment programme of not less than 300 students benefiting from the free JAMB and GCE forms annually. Also, the youth and adult have continued to add value to the nation’s economy using the skills, knowledge and starter tools acquired from the many empowerment programmes in the community. Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA is still one of the best among the 57 LGAs/LCDAs in Lagos State, who has empowered her constituents to boost their entrepreneural skills.

Neither would they notice the hundreds of road that have been graded, as well as the ongoing roads which are been graded, some of which have never been graded since their existence. Perhaps, they need to be reminded that the tag ''Mr Project'' placed on Famuyiwa was earned due to his numerous projects. Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA in her over 20 years history has never had it so good with a Council Chairman so bullish with infrastructural development like Famuyiwa.

The event ended with 250 people empowered with a cash sum of #20,000 each which was part of the initiative of the Council Mayor to cushion the hardship faced with as a nation.

In attendance at the empowerment programme were political leaders, cabinet members, management and staff of the LCDA.
