MANDATE MOVEMENT CWC AFFIRMS ENILOLOBO AS STATE CHAIRMAN

Lagos State Central Working Committee, CWC, of The Mandate Movement, TMM, have affirmed Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo as the State Chairman.

In a voice vote moved by Hon Prince Adewale Arogundade from Mushin Local Government seconded by Olorogun Gbolahan Bagostowe of Shomolu Local Government, the CWC affirmed Enilolobo the immediate past State Organizing Secretary of Lagos State APC, as the caucus State Chairman. The CWC consists of the state executives, leadership unit, 57 council chairmen, 57 youth leaders and 57 women leaders.

The caucus principal officers which includes woman leader Alhaja Mulikat Ajala, youth leader Femi John Olumuyiwa, Chair of Chair Olu Arologun led their respective units to affirm their support for Enilolobo's chairmanship.

The Mandate Movement Chair of Chair Hon Olu Arogun declared that Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo is The movement Lagos State Chairman.

In his words "We are resolutely behind our Chairman, Enilolobo. I am privy to meetings where Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku aka Baba Eto, late Alhaji Badmus and all of us agreed to the emergence of Enilolobo as the State Chairman

"Baba Eto and others have raised the hands of Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo as State Chairman, so why is Baba Eto disturbing the peace of the movement? We have made reproachments to him, but he refused. No one disturbed him in his over 20 years as State Chairman. We expect him to upgrade to the leadership level that he rightly belongs to."

On his part Hon Rotimi Agunloye from Kosofe Local Government Area offered that the CWC meeting is to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and Nigeria, and to affirm Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo as the Chairman of The Mandate Movement in Lagos State.

"We called this meeting because we are here to pray and established that anyone who wants to join or rejoin the movement, our door is open.

"The position of The Mandate Movement is that elements from Indomitable Solidarity Organization, ITSO, led by Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku aka Baba Eto cannot hijack our movement. We have laboured from the days of BATCO, the era of Galilee, the era of Aromire, they cannot reap where they did not sow".

The Mandate Movement State Woman Leader Alhaja Mulikat Ajala in her remarks said "In The Mandate Movement we are not political prostitutes or politicians of comfort. As a person, I am not a lose woman or a woman of easy virtue. I am married to Col. Ajala. I must say that Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku aka Baba Eto is an usurper and bad manager of men and resources.

"I am known to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, I have being with him since 1998, I have been in The Mandate Movement from inception and Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo will be supported to succeed, the same way and manner we supported his predecessors. The Mandate Movement women wing is fully in support of the state Chairmanship of Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo.

Alhaja Oyedele aka Iya Luku, Principal Coordinator Lagos West offered that "We started with "Tinubu Straight" in 1992, we proceeded to Independent Campaign Group, ICG, in Joel Ogunnaike, headed by Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo; Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku aka Baba Eto cannot usurp the movement at this point. His time as State Chairman has lapsed, late Baba Badmus has served after him.

"We have remained consistent, we have remained resolute, we have remained loyal.

"Now that we have achieved our ultimate political goal of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidency. Baba Eto cannot unilaterally usurp our roles, steal our history, steal our rights. His past antecedents is unpalatable, he is self-serving, we will not fight, but we will tell our story. I am firmly behind Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo

"Baba Eto cannot continue to dribble us. The flag of TMM will continue to fly high."

The Mandate Movement Youth Leader Femi John Olumuyiwa declared:

"We are not in Egypt. Few months ago, Baba Eto said all those who remained in The Mandate Movement are in political wilderness, he distanced himself from the movement and from her activities. It was Abdullahi Enilolobo that continued with the movement in Lagos State. I alongside the 57 youth leaders in the movement affirmed our full loyalty to Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo as the State Chairman. Our message to Nigerians is that with the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR presidency we are on the path to greatness in few months hence.

In his remark Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo said

"Nigerians should bear with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR at this period. Mr President is not following the order of the past that led us to where we are today as a nation. He is building the right fundamentals that will lead us to the place of national joy and peace. I must admit that the pattern of true development is a path of discomfort and birth pains initially, such as what we are experiencing presently. It is time bound, so Nigerians should have firm hope in the President. In few months from now we will celebrate a better Nigeria.

"In 1999 when Mr President became the Governor of Lagos State, most residents of the state didn't believe in him. We his supporters were being insulted openly. But a year later, he became the beloved of all, and we earned the praises of the people. Asiwaju Tinubu is a game changer following the right pattern that will lead us all to national place of joy, peace and prosperity.

"Our party is the All Progressives Congress, APC, The Mandate Movement, TMM, allegiance and loyalty to the party leadership led by Alhaji Ibrahim Ganduje is absolute. Our movement is a national movement! During the 2023 general elections, we campaign with the name BATCO Mandate, BATCO is the acronym of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign Organization - Mandate. It was a special purpose vehicle. After the elections, we reverted to our original name, "The Mandate Movement".

"Members of the Central Working Committee of The Mandate Movement are both witnesses of history and participators in the progressive politics led by Asiwaju Tinubu from 1999 till date. We stand firm with our founder, grand patron and now President. The Mandate Movement is the example of political dedication, tested and trusted loyalty.

"Past state chairmen of our great caucus includes Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku aka Baba Eto and late Alhaji Badmus of blessed memory. My emergence as the current state Chairman was by total consensus of all the members of the Central Working Committee of group. The women, youth and leadership wings of the movement affirmed my position.

"At the darkest hours of this caucus, I alongside all of you kept faith with the movement, we sued for peace, reconciliation and made service to the party and the people the centre of our politics in Lagos State. Baba Eto told some of our members and leaders that The Mandate Movement is dead, he said we should move to ABAT Movement. Later he said we should move to Indomitable Solidarity Organization, ITSO. While this was happening, we stayed put in The Mandate Movement. We are not political rolling stones.

We served under Baba Eto's in his over 20 years as State Chairmanship. We served the late Baba Badmus with total loyalty, we are not asking about what happened to the Highway Managers contract; we are not asking about The Mandate Movement landed property in Lekki peninsula; we are only saying support us in the capacity of an elder of the caucus, we have come of age to serve.

"The Mandate Movement chapter in Lagos State was the first organization to initiate campaigns for Asiwaju Tinubu with the pasting of "Asiwaju for President" posters and banners statewide. We continued with door to door campaigns, we provided campaign platform in BATCO Mandate for party members that could not be accommodated in the APC campaign structures. Our members who made delegates to the National Convention voted for Asiwaju Tinubu in the presidentially primary. The Mandate Movement Walk For Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu was the best in Lagos State. This, we achieved by the grace of God, without funding or support from outside sources. We survived all the lies and mudslingings aimed at us.

"I want to appreciate leaders of Lagos APC such as Hon Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Chief Alebiosu Bush, Alhaji Mutiu Are, Alhaji Rabiu Oluwa, Prince Adeseye Ogunlewe and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and others too numerous to mention, whose fatherly roles have brought peace, equity and progress to our party.

"I bring the warm greetings of Baba Sunny Ajose, Hon Segun Ogundimu, Baba Baamu,  Hon Kayode Opeifa and Baba Eyinfunjowo who are unavoidably absent but have called to express solidarity with the Central Working Committee of the movement."
