ABDULLAHI AYINDE ENILOLOBO, LAGOS STATE CHAIRMAN of The Mandate Movement, warmly welcomes the President ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU GCFR back to Lagos. Tinubu's visionary blueprint during his tenure as governor laid the foundation for the Red Line Rail Project. His presence at the inauguration on Thursday, February 29, marks a historic moment in the state's transportation evolution.
PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU'S upcoming inauguration signals the take-off of a major game-changer in Lagos' transportation infrastructure.
The red line, part of the state's two-operational rail lines, has eight stations: Agbado, Iju, Agege, Ikeja, Oshodi, Mushin, Yaba, and Oyingbo.
The project includes 10 vehicular overpasses and pedestrian bridges to ensure the safety of commuters. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, expressing confidence in the project, stated that the Red Line Rail would redefine public transportation in Nigeria.
The Red Line promises a significant reduction in travel time, addressing stress-induced health challenges and enhancing economic productivity. Integrated with bus terminals at key locations such as Ikeja, Oshodi, Oyingbo, Yaba, and Iju, the project exemplifies a holistic approach to public transportation infrastructure.
