KEHINDE JOSEPH HAILS SUPER EAGLES, URGES TENANCITY TO WIN AFCON CUP




Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Alimosho Constituency II, Hon Kehinde Olaide Joseph, has applauded the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their heroic feat from the preliminary stage, to the defeat of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the Round of Sixteen, thereby qualifying for the quarter finals of the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF African Cup of Nations.


Kehinde Joseph said with the Saturday’s triumph over Indomitable Lion of Cameroon, the Super Eagles have proven they have the wherewithal to beat any team in Africa.


He commended the team's tactical discipline, relentless attacking play, and formidable defending, which ultimately secured a well-deserved win at the historic Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.


"As you face the Palancas Negras of Angola today in the Quarter Final match, know that your win is not just a victory on the pitch, it will be a victory for the entire Nigeria.


"As Super Eagles, you have to unite Nigerians under the banner of football, with that, you are reminding us of the collective strength and resilience that resides within us as a people", he declared.


As the team matches towards the potential fourth continental title, the Chairman House Committee on Public Account (State) expressed his unreserved support and urged the players to "give their absolute best in the tomorrow's and remaining matches."


"While I congratulate you for advancing to this stage of the competition, I urge you not to be complacent but continue to be focused and resilient. We are behind you and all Nigerians are supporting you. Do not look back but go on and bring home the trophy."


The grassroot lawmaker also ureged the Nigerians at home and abroad to continue supporting the Super Eagles with unwavering passion and belief.
