OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND IN NIGERIA - AMAECHI ASSERTS

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has advised Nigerians against travelling abroad to search for greener pastures.

Amaechi told Nigerians that if they travel abroad, the best they can get is a 9-5 job, but if they are looking for opportunities, they should stay back in Nigeria.

During a recent interview with Arise TV, Amaechi said that by staying back in the country, the citizens can have opportunities to get into political positions.

The former Rivers State governor said that he has always advised Nigerians not to leave the country and go abroad, because one day they could wake up one day and become a minister or governor.

He said, "I have always discouraged people who want to leave the country. I say 9-5 is the job you can get. You may not get the opportunity we get in Nigeria. You can just wake up one day and you are already a minister or a governor. It just happens.

"If you are looking for opportunity, please stay back in Nigeria, but if you are looking for 9-5, safety and others, you can leave the country."
