Attempts by the impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Hon Mudashiru Obasa to be reinstated back into Office is failing by the hour.
The Agege based politician who was removed by 34 members of the House on January 13th, is desperate to regain the exalted position and has now deployed raw bribes in his quest.
Obasa has made monies available to members of the Lagos State House of Assembly: their collective resolve is that he will soon tell the anti graft agencies, where these bribes came from.
Overtures made by the sacked Speaker to the eminent members of the highest decision making organ in Lagos State All Progressives Congress, APC, the Governor's Advisory Council, GAC, was also rejected, he was told in clear terms, that conscience and conviction are not for sale.
Obasa who was tight fisted, rude, abhors intelligence, uncultured, uncouth and brutish as Speaker, is someone many stakeholders no longer wants to see preside over the affairs of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
"If indeed Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is relying on Obasa to manage Lagos APC for him, then his choice of right hand is faulty and one that will consume the father of democrats in no distant time and consume all that he supposedly stood for. Intra APC politics should not drag Lagos legislative business in the mud.
