TINUBU RETURNS TO ABUJA AFTER PRIVATE VISIT TO PARIS

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following a two-week private visit to Paris, France.

His arrival at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport was marked by the presence of top government officials, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Also in attendance were Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri, and the Director-General of the Department of State Service, Yusuf Bichi, among others.

Although the purpose of Tinubu's visit remained undisclosed, his return aligns with the timeframe outlined in a statement issued upon his departure on January 24, indicating a return "in the first week of February 2024."

This marks Tinubu's third visit to France and his 14th foreign trip since assuming office eight months ago. Previous visits have included engagements in Paris, London, New York, Bissau, Nairobi, Porto Novo, New Delhi, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, and Berlin.

His return coincides with protests in several states over the escalating cost of living, increased incidents of kidnapping-for-ransom, and delays in implementing promised initiatives such as the student loan scheme.

Nonetheless, Tinubu has directed emergency food intervention measures to address immediate concerns and maintain security stability.
