AFCON: SUPER EAGLES KEPT A CLEAN SHEET SO FAR

As we approach the finals of this year's AFCON tournament, the two finalists, Ivory Coast and Nigeria, would be facing each other on Sunday to determine the winner of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles have so far put up an impressive performance in this year's tournament, and it's quite surprising that they're the only competing team that haven't lost a match yet. Even Ivory Coast, the host nation once lost to Nigeria at the group stage.

Group Stage

On the 14th of January, Super Eagles equalized 1-1 with Equatorial Guinea.

On the 18th of January, they defeated Ivory Coast 1-0, they also defeated Guinea Biseau 1-0 to qualify for the round of 16.

Round of 16 and Quarter finals

At the round of 16, they defeated Cameroon 2-0 to qualify for the quarterfinals. At the quarterfinals, they defeated Angola 1-0 to qualify for the semifinals.

Semifinals

At the semifinals, they defeated South Africa 4-2 at the penalty shootouts to qualify for the finals.

The details provided above shows that the Nigerian team is yet to lose a single match in this year's AFCON and if they emerge victorious in their match against the Ivory Coast, they would have a clean record of no loss, and of course, they would be crowned winner of the tournament.
