Now, a staggering USD 7 million awaits the triumphant team, while the runners-up will still pocket a hefty USD 4 million.


Notably, each of the two semi-finalists will secure USD 2.5 million, while the four quarter-finalists will receive USD 1.3 million each.


Meanwhile, South Africa secured a remarkable third-place finish at the AFCON after a thrilling encounter against DR Congo, triumphing 6-5 on penalties.
