SCOAN DENIES BBC CLAIMS, CALLS FOR FAIR REPORTING

The Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) rebuffed a recent BBC documentary on their late founder, Temitope Balogun Joshua, denouncing it as baseless.

In a statement released on Tuesday, January 9, SCOAN disassociated itself from the individuals interviewed in the report, asserting that they were unknown to the church.

The documentary, aired by BBC's Africa Eye, alleged several crimes against TB Joshua, including accusations of rape. In response, SCOAN's Public Affairs Director, Mr. Dare Adejumo, emphasized that while investigative journalism is crucial, the BBC's approach deviated from ethical principles, lacking fairness, balance, and objectivity.

The church accused the BBC of resorting to fictional narratives and propaganda, using journalism as a guise for a personal vendetta against TB Joshua.

They highlighted the countless beneficiaries of Joshua's healing and grace, decrying the BBC's failure to acknowledge these positive impacts.

SCOAN pointed out that numerous individuals, including beneficiaries of reconciled families and restored destinies, vehemently opposed the documentary's portrayal.

Despite the BBC's claims, SCOAN asserted that TB Joshua's legacy remained resilient and untarnished by such reports.

The church called upon the public to recognize the discrepancies in the documentary and challenged the BBC to uphold the integrity of responsible journalism
