BURNA BOY, STEFLLON DON, JADA KINGDOM LOVE - LYRIC WAR

By Kingsley Ediale

Dear You.

Let's title this, "Love, Diss Tracks, and Birkin Bags: The Intricate Web Between Burna Boy, Stefflon Don, and Jada Kingdom"

Or we can simply call it "The Dramatic World of a Nigerian Big-Headed Talent and Two Jamaican Ladies Fighting To Be Her Queen".

I bet you prefer the former.

Anyways, Burna Boy is at it again. After winning a Grammy what other feat would you want to nail?

Women.

Yeah, curvy Jamaican babes with their juices. If you haven't heard there's war in Jamaica.

The recent feud between British Jamaican artist Stefflon Don and Jamaican sensation Jada Kingdom has added a new layer to this intricate web, fueled by their connections to none other than Afrobeat icon Burna Boy.

It's a love triangle involving Stefflon Don and Jada Kingdom. Stefflon, the British-Jamaican rapper, shared a tumultuous three-year relationship with Burna, which came to an end in 2021. On the other side, Jada had a brief fling with the Nigerian superstar last year, marked by jet-setting adventures and donning his chain.

The flame of controversy was further fueled by Burna Boy's lyrical mentions of Jada in the remix of Byron Messia's "Talibans," stating, "All of the best pum pum deh yah Kingston, so I buy a Birkin fi Jada Kingdom."

The reference to a luxury Birkin bag hinted at a level of indulgence in their relationship.

The tension escalated as Stefflon Don dropped a diss track, "Dat A Dat," aimed squarely at Jada Kingdom. The lyrics took jabs at Jada's character, relationships, and even her parenting. Jada swiftly responded with "London Bed," a diss track cleverly using audio snippets from Burna Boy's previous collaborations.

Jada's track delves into personal attacks, alleging Burna Boy's reasons for ending things with Stefflon were tied to her being a single mother and his reluctance to step into a fatherly role. The diss war has become a spectacle, with fans eagerly awaiting each lyrical punch and counterpunch.

I find myself putting Jada's track on repeat play. I, Ediale, personally think she won this round. While I can decide that. I wonder if I can decide who is finer between both babes. I can't. Perhaps, we will live that to Burna.

Can we say Burna already made that statement with his gifts?

With Burna Boy's extravagant gesture – the purchase of seven Birkin bags for Jada Kingdom. The confirmation of this lavish gift through his lyrics added a layer of opulence to the ongoing saga.

Again, Jada's response was unapologetic, flaunting the bags as symbols of her turn in the spotlight.

For Stefflon, we saw the video of the music stars kissing, after it went viral that Burna Boy gifted Stefflon Don a Rolls Royce Cullinan for her 32nd birthday.

While the focus remains on the Burna-Steffer-Jada triangle, the overarching story extends beyond diss tracks and Birkin bags. Burna Boy's romantic escapades, from Stefflon to Jada and even being linked with the likes of Nengi, paint a vivid picture of the Afrobeat star's tumultuous love life.

Unfortunately, Nengi may not be able to throw musical punches. Not with these feisty Jamaican ladies. They may chew her raw. Although, never say never when it comes to Nigerians. You don't want to test a Nigerian. If provoked, we may see another version of Nengi.

As for fans, they eagerly await the next lyrical exchange and romantic revelation, the love triangle involving Burna Boy, Stefflon Don, and Jada Kingdom is expected to add riveting chapters to the evolving narrative of music industry drama.

PS: Jada's response in the name of a Diss Track titled London Bed is wickedness. It is likened to bringing nuclear weapons to a simple street fight ~ a stick and brick fight.
