The entire members of the Lagos State House of Assembly will be meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja today.
According to reports, the meeting is aimed at resolving the recent leadership crisis in the State House of Assembly, which led to Obasa’s impeachment and subsequent reinstatement after intervention from political leaders and the Governing Advisory Council (GAC).
The Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, arrived at 2:50 pm, joining his colleagues who had arrived earlier in two coaster buses.
Recall that Obasa filed a corruption case against former speaker, Mojisola Meranda.
Obasa is also still in court, challenging the allegations that led to his initial removal as speaker, which include fraud, high-handedness, abuse of office, and gross misconduct.
The respondents in the suit are members of the state assembly and Mojisola Meranda.
The court is set to hear all the matters on March 17
