ODUNMBAKU: A CARDINAL OF LIES

 

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR unequivocally declares, "Baba Eto: gbogbo Owo Adura loti koje tan, iwa e ni, mo ti mo pelu e (Baba Eto is a fraud, it is his nature, I know him as such)," offering a candid assessment of Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, also known as Baba Eto.

The greatest sin in Islam is attributing another god with Allah watahallah, while in politics, the greatest sin is anti party.

The Central Working Committee of The Mandate Movement, TMM, responds with regret to the misleading statements from Baba Eto, a figure we respect as a father and leader. Despite past collaborative successes, recent alliances have prompted Baba Eto to embrace falsehoods, casting shadows on his credibility.

In his recent remarks, he tagged BATCO Mandate as people who do not desire the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This he did with no iota of evidence. 

Contrary to Eto's claims, BATCO Mandate played a vital role in campaigning for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR during the 2023 elections. The Mandate Movement emphasizes its rich history and the success associated with adopting the name Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign Organization (BATCO).

The campaign activities of BATCO Mandate are well documented, and we boldly say no other Independent Campaign Group in Lagos State matched our projects. Indeed, we lead and others follow. 

Baba Eto's relentless pursuit of power, evident in his over 20-year tenure as Lagos State Mandate Movement Chairman, raises concerns. The group urges him to uphold truth, equity, and justice, rather than succumbing to lies, disunity, and greed.

Our advice to Baba Eto is to stay as the elder that he is, to stop disrupting the peace of The Mandate Movement.

If he has forgotten so soon, we will remind him of how he went to meet President Goodluck Jonathan and collected a huge amount of money. Hon Oto can testify to this. 

In Ekiti State, his wife contested under Labour Party for governor, though she was later given a Commissioner. Baba Eto denied her when Asiwaju pointed at it, but the truth is that the woman is yet Baba Eto's consort.

In response to the garrulous talks, Baba Eto: President Tinubu never at any time in public or in private condemned the activities of BATCO Mandate ICG. The two major groups in Lagos State All Progressives Congress, APC; The Mandate Movement and Justice Forum were suspended at the GAC meeting for the Party to have a united front at the last general election.

Baba Eto is an egomaniac who publicly condemned Justice Forum and The Mandate Movement publicly claiming his group Indomitable Solidarity Organization, ITSO, is the only caucus sanctioned in the state. 

Baba Eto is in love with himself and himself alone, his age long strategy is not new to us, his target is the forthcoming local government election, where he is set to enrich himself by collecting money from aspirants with empty promises and cunningly lining up his children and girlfriends for public offices. 

Baba Eto is holding unto The Mandate Movement properties as his and all he want is to personalize the movement as his personal fiefdom.

Baba Eto his holding unto Highway Managers contract which belong to The Mandate Movement. He is sitting on hectares of land that belongs to the Mandate Movement in the Lekki peninsula. 

At close to 80 years of age, he's fond of deploying his girlfriends to the campaign offices and at the last campaign office; Bola Ahmed Tinubu / Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Council. The mess created by his mistresses leaves a trail of embarrassment in the canvass of the outfit.
